PAINTINGS

Photographing art and paintings may be a challenging task.

The most common problems are: visible imperfections, dust, disadvantageous light reflections and distorted colours.

Moreover, when photographing larger artworks, it's required to take many images with various focus points to combine it into one sharp image. This type is called image STACKING.

  • removing colour distortion and disadvantageous light reflections.

  • cropping and improving composition.

  • colours editing

  • adding signature and logo

  • preparing files for printing

PREPARING for PRINTING

As printing is a complex process requiring acertain quality, the majority of artworks need to be enhanced before being sent to the printer.

 The most common improvements:

  • resizing with adjusting resolution required for a particular size or paper/ canvas/ other background

  • removing imperfections which could look like a spot/ stain/ dirt/ printing mistake

  • restoration for damaged artworks

  • enhancing contrast, colours, edges, lightness

  • preparing files for printing

  • cleaning major imperfections which could affect the perception of the artwork

VECTORIZING

Vectorizing is converting a pixel image into curves.

  • allows easy changing the size of the artwork without quality loss.

  • allows using the project in engraving, foil, printing and laser cutting.

  • creates a base for further digital edits in software like Adobe Illustrator.

  • allows free line colour and background changing

  • great for sharp sketches, ink drawings, drawings with limited colours
